Honeyshuck to celebrate Champ Clark Heritage Day

Posted on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 1:34 pm

The Champ Clark House will be open from 12 noon until 4 p.m. on Champ Clark Heritage Day. There will be much
to see

Champ Clark House will celebrate the opening of The Champ Clark Annex, next door to “Honeyshuck.” On
display, there is memorabilia about Bowling Green, Pike County, BGHS R-1 High School Annuals, Pike County Rural School Books, and many pieces of the area’s history.

Also, the first Missouri Flag to fly over the Capital in Jefferson City in 1913 will be on display at
the Museum. This Flag was a gift to “Honeyshuck” and a valuable part of Missouri History. The Missouri Flag is celebrating its 100th birthday this year.
