School board discusses construction, bus routes

Posted on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 1:44 pm

During the regular meeting of the Bowling Green R-I school district, board members voiced concerns over current bus schedules and routes, as well as construction of a new weight room building. Research agreed to be done on both topics as to pacify the situation and resolve possible issues.

Board president Joe Klott called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.; Linda Luebrecht was absent.

The consent agenda, including minutes, fund transfers, bills for payment, and changes in personnel, were all approved. Superintendent Darin Powell announced Dottie White’s notice of retirement. She will stay with the district until Dec. 31 of this year.

With no requests or guests on the public information forum, Klott moved to new business.

Powell noted there will be no September work session. After a brief discussion of possibly delaying the September board meeting, members agreed it would be held as scheduled on Sept. 16 at 6:30 p.m.
