Cross Country battles heat at innaugural meet

The Bobcat and Lady Cat cross country runners fought a war with high temperatures at their first meet of the school year. Bowling Green headed to Wentzville Wednesday for the annual Fleet Feet Invitational meet. The boys placed ninth; the girls came in seventh.

“I was very pleased with the effort of everyone who ran this meet.  The heat made it very difficult to compete at 100 percent,” said head cross country coach Matt Chance. “I think everyone left the meet excited to race under better conditions and I feel everyone knows that they are starting to get in better shape.”
