Schlueter sentenced after violating probation

A 48-year-old Bowling Green man charged in a sex case has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after he violated his probation.

Michael Schlueter was sentenced to five years of probation last November, a situation that would result in jail time if broken.

The defendant was originally charged with two felony counts of child molestation after he was suspected of having sexual contact with a girl who was under the age of 14.

Schlueter entered an Alford plea for the charges, meaning his admission that there was sufficient evidence to convict him of the crimes.

Schlueter’s record reflects prior criminal charges, including non-support, passing bad checks, and assault.
