Doxology to be featured at “singing in the park”

Doxology, a Southern Gospel Trio, will be featured at “singing in the park” in the shelter house off of S. Court Street in Bowling Green at 2:30 p.m. on   Sunday, Sept. 15.

The trio is comprised of Aleta and Paul Mills and Larry Sileven.   Aleta has been a full time housewife and her husband, Paul, was professor of Biology, Chemistry at Hannibal LaGrange College.

Paul currently is interim pastor at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, Soutwest of Shelbina and has also served as interim pastor several years ago at both Second and Friendship Baptist Churches in Bowling Green.

Larry Sileven is currently part-time instructor of HVAC at Vatterott College in Quincy and was Business Manager at Hannibal LaGrange, as well as worked in music ministy in the area churches.

They sang together about 25 years ago, but disbanded due to Larry moving away to teach. They now have been singing together for about three years.   Doxology is available for events and can be reached at 573-248-7860.

Immanuel Baptist Church, Bowling Green is hosting the event.  Pastor John Birkhead and the members welcome the public to this enjoyable Sunday afternoon of “Singing in the Park.”

Although there will be some benches in the shelter house, everyone is encouraged to bring their own lawn or folding chairs.
