Heritage Day to honor veterans
In honor of the dedication and bravery of Pike County’s veterans and currently-serving soldiers, this year’s Heritage Festival will be themed “Red, White, and Thank You.”
The greater Bowling Green area has seen its fair share of men in uniform give the ultimate sacrifice, or years of service, to ensure Pike Countians are able to live in freedom.
The board of the 2013 Champ Clark Heritage Day are doing everything in their power to make this year’s festival one of honor and memory to our veterans.
Join Grand Marshals Phillip Bibb Sr., Terrence Boudneir, Aldon Veach, and Paul Salois (honorary), all of whom have served our country, as they kick off the festivities this Saturday with a flag-raising ceremony, with assistance from the Bowling Green VFW, at 9 a.m. on the Courthouse lawn.
