Bobcat football steamrolls Winfield Warriors at home opener Friday

The boys of varsity Bobcats football dominated the competition as the Winfield Warriors came to BG turf Friday. After four quarters, the teams left the field with a final score of 45-0 Bobcats. Gaining two touchdowns in the first quarter alone, Winfield proved to be little competition for the now 2-0 Bowling Green guys. Team work and communication proved to be the key for a Bobcat victory, even with the absence of head coach Jeff Gschwender following the birth of his daughter. Assistant coach Joe Calhoun stepped into the leadership position and lead the boys of fall to a landslide win.

This week, the Bobcats will face off against Highway 54 rivals, the Louisiana Bulldogs, in the second BG home game of the season.
