Board of Education hears HVAC proposals

The Bowling Green R-I school district gathered for a regular meeting the evening of Monday, Sept. 16. Among the issues discussed, the board heard from three prospective HVAC contractors.

Board President Joe Klott called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m. Members Linda Luebrecht and Scott Smith were absent.

Following the call to order and roll call, the board voted unanimously to approve the consent agenda, which prompted no fund transfers or discussed bills.

Superintendent Darin Powell mentioned a few issues on the financial summary, resulting in a negative balance. Powell added with the return of Laura Gschwender from maternity leave, the discrepancies will be corrected.

There was no discussion in the public information forum or old business to be discussed. There was little discussion in the principal’s and procedural evaluation reports other than a few updates on various school programs.
