Wind Ridge Farmer’s Market to hold final market of the year

On Saturday, Sept. 28 the Wind Ridge Farmers’ Market will hold its final market for the season in Eolia. The market is on
Main Street in Eolia and the hours are 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The market is open to all with produce, crafts, farm goods, poultry, and small stock. This completes the first year for the market at Eolia and it was well supported. It drew farmer/vendors from throughout Eastern
Missouri and buyers from Pike, Lincoln, and surrounding counties.

Farmers’ markets are growing in number each year and while this was the first year for the Wind Ridge Market, it is sistered with the River
Hills Market at Silex that will soon complete its twenty-third year in
existence.

That market will continue on the second Saturday mornings of the month, with the same hours, in the Silex City Park through November.

Both market groups will participate in the Holiday Market in Silex on Nov. 9 and that market will be followed by the annual business meeting open to the cooperators at both markets.

Contact numbers for the Wind Ridge Market are 573-324-5354 or 573-485-7261.
