Bobcats dominate Indian Hawks at rival’s homecoming
The Bowling Green Bobcats accomplished an impressive 50-12 win Friday night at Clopton against the rival Indian Hawks. Despite it being their Homecoming and having a home field advantage, the Clopton/Elsberry team couldn’t fight against the Bobcats’ running touchdowns and improved offense.
“Guys played well.,” said head coach Jeff Gschwender. “They worked hard all week and preformed well.”
With Malik McPike leading the pack on the offensive end, the Bobcats seemed all but unstoppable. The senior totalled 18 carries and a total of 232 rushing yards. McPike made four touchdowns, including an 85-yarder with just under three minutes left in the fourth quarter.
“We battled some turnovers in the first half, but our Offensive Coordinator made some great adjustments at halftime and we were able to get some things going second half,” Gschwender credited.
