Aldermen approve $9,000 abatement

The Bowling Green Board of Aldermen met for their regular meeting Monday night. Among topics discussed were those of the leak at the shopping center and Park Board committee.

Mayor Jim Moore called the meeting to order at 5:33 p.m. Each Alderman but Mike Pugh was present.

The group unanimously approved the previous meeting’s minutes, warrants, and treasurer’s reports.

There were no pending bills or pay requests.

In new business, the board voted unanimously to approve the $9,363.32 sewer abatement to the Bowling Green Town Center.

Being no comments from visitors, the aldermen were asked for comments. Kenda Flynn asked for an update on the Business Highway 61 school crossing guard. It was noted that the agreement has been signed by both the city and school district and that the project was approved by the state.

The Mayor requested approval for Angela Smith’s appointment to the Park Board advisory committee. This motion was approved unanimously.

The meeting was adjourned to executive at 5:37 p.m.
