XC girls claim sixth straight EMO championship

The BGHS varsity girls cross country team won their sixth straight EMO Championship Monday night.

“This was a very dominating performance for the girls team,” head coach Matt Chance proudly stated. “We have less than three weeks left in our season and I think this group will finish strong.  They have an excellent chance of qualifying for the state meet.”

The varsity boys were right behind on the winner’s circle, coming in second.

“I was very happy with the effort our boys showed at this meet,” Chance added. “Wright City has a very good team with all seniors on their varsity squad.  We have made tremendous strides over the course of the season and our best meets are hopefully ahead of us.”
