Two Louisiana residents are now facing felony drug charges after the Sat., Oct. 19 search of their home turned up large quantities of drugs and paraphernalia.
As the result of an ongoing illegal drug investigation, around 8 p.m. Oct. 19, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, along with Missouri State Highway Patrol, executed a search warrant at the residence of Randy and Carrie Stoops at 12299 Highway NN, Louisiana.
As responding law enforcement performed a search of the residence, they discovered drug paraphernalia, over 315 grams of marijuana, and a large quantity of prescription drugs.
Pike County Prosecutor Mark Fisher filed the following charges: Randy G. Stoops was charged with one count of class C felony of possession of a controlled substance and a class C felony of unlawful possession of a weapon. Carrie M. Stoops was charged with a class B felony of producing a controlled substance, class C felony of possession of a controlled substance (more than 35 grams of marijuana), and two class B felonies of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
