The City is facing yet another lawsuit for the 2009 termination of the Bowling Green city treasurer. Although the prior suit was dismissed in 2011, ex-treasurer Barb Finley is seeking justice.
Finley slammed the city with the most recent lawsuit after she says she was fired without explanation. She was let go on Nov. 3 of 2009 after 15 years of employment.
The suit is filed against the city officials and aldermen from the time of the incident, including BG Mayor Jim Moore, Mike Pugh, Mary Grover, Kay Reading, Mark Bair, Ed Lawson, and prior city administrator John Kehrman.
Court documents indicate Finley is going after the city for several charges: declaratory judgment, breach of contract, wrongful termination, defamation, emotional distress, personal liability, retalitory discharge, and tortious interference.
