Lady Cats XC claim first at BG Invitational

The varsity Lady Cats cross country team has done it again. The girls took first place at Friday’s Bowling Green Invitational meet, which was held at the Pike County Fairgrounds. The varsity boys also did well, placing fifth.

“This was our last tune up before we get ready for districts and state,” head Coach Matt Chance explained. “We have several individuals that have a great chance at placing in the top 15 at districts and qualifying for state.”

Next up for the cross country team will be the District meet at the Fairgrounds this Satuday, Nov. 2.

“The girls team will be matched up with a very good Lutheran St. Peters team for the district championship,” Chance added. “The girls team title will likely be decided by three points or less.”
