Bobcats defeat Highland, advance in Districts

The Bowling Green Bobcats have moved forward in District play, thanks to a Thursday night victory over visiting Highland.

“…I was proud of the guys for working throughout the entire game and pulling out a tough win,” head coach Jeff Gschwender said. “We had trouble moving the ball early as Highland loaded the box, but our O-Line worked hard and was able to create some movement and opened some space for our backs. Defensively, we played well only giving up less than 200 yrds of total offense. The boys did well getting the lead and finishing the game in sloppy conditions.”

The guys in black and red pulled away with a final score of 28-13, which will pen them against Clark County tonight (Wednesday, Nov. 6) at home.

“As far as Clark County is concerned, we have been working on finding weaknesses in their defense and how to attack those weaknesses,” the coach added. “Defensively we have worked on tackling and reading keys.”
