City proclaims Nov. to be Hospice Month

Bowling Green Mayor Jim Moore (seated) signed an official proclamation Friday declaring the month of November “National Hospice and Palliative Care Month.” The proclamation honors workers of these dedications as empowering people to “live as fully as possible, surrounded and supported by family and loved ones, despite serious and life-limiting illness.” According to the document, it is the city’s hope that citizens are encouraged to “increase their understanding and awareness of care at the end of life and to observe this month with appropriate activities and programs.” Employees of the Community Loving Care Hospice present for the declaration were (from left): Tina Craven, Heather Hanson, and Beth Haffner.
