School board approves teacher resignation in special session

The Bowling Green R-1 School District Board of Education met last Tuesday night for a special meeting prior to the work session.

The meeting was held Nov. 12 and was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by president Joe Klott.

The Board accepted the resignation of Tammy Zerbonia, who was serving as a special education teacher at Bowling Green Elementary, with liquidated damages of $3,000, as Zerbonia terminated her employee/employer contract mid-year.

The Board then voted to hire Jayne Yoder as the Secretary to the Superintendent for the remainder of the 2013-2014 school year.
