Agape House decorates, notes storm damage

Prior to the meeting on Nov. 19, board members decorated Agape House for the Christmas holidays.

At the meeting members learned of minor damage to the roof during the Nov. 17 storm.  Paul Fennewald had been contacted to make necessary repairs.  In the same week, Jim Miller made minor repairs to the heating system.

House manager, Doris Donoho, reported that 48 guests, including seven children, had stayed at the house in October.

Board president, Veanna Snodgrass, volunteered to prepare a meat and cheese tray for guests on Thanksgiving, given that many restaurants are closed then.

It was announced that Sterling Holbrook was invited to join the United Way board of Audrain County.

Members present were:  Anne Barnes, Janet Heim, Karen Holbrook, S. Holbrook, Floy Oliver, Phil Pennington, and V. Snodgrass.

The next meeting will be held Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 4 p.m.
