New businesses coming to shopping center
Bowling Green’s commerce is beginning growth once again.
City Building Inspection, Code Enforcement (BICE) official Mel Orf confirmed Tuesday morning that two new businesses will be opening in the shopping center on the south side of town.
China King, a Chinese food chain restaurant based out of the St. Louis area, and Vapor Lock, an e-cigarettes and supplies store, both began construction on their suites in the center Monday.
According to Orf, it will be after the first of the year before either business opens its doors.
The BICE also mentioned the owner of the shopping center reported construction on a new, identical shopping center will begin just west of the existing location once “one, possibly two” businesses join those already in the center.
