Local boy sends holiday cheer to soldiers

The Christmas season is one of giving, and helping those that are less fortunate, unable to help themselves, or can’t spend the holidays with their loved ones. This message is not lost on one very special Bowling Green resident.

At only 11, Brogan Brandenburger, young son of Brian and Breezy Brandenburger, has already made a difference in the world.

Last month Brogan put the finishing touches on a football-themed care package which will be mailed to a soldier currently serving overseas. He hopes the troops will receive it in time for Christmas.

“Since I love football, I made it into a football theme,” he mentioned.

“[It’s] something we did for school in Mrs. Ervin’s class,” explained the Bowling Green Middle School student.
