Milk and cookies with Santa – Event raises autism awareness

Easter Seals Midwest will be hosting a special event this week.

Join them for milk and cookies with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Pike County Agency for Developmental Disabilities in Bowling Green.

This holiday party is geared towards children on the autism spectrum and their families. Parents are encouraged to bring siblings, as well.

Families with children on the autism spectrum will enjoy a festive night out in a safe, judgment-free environment.

From face painting to balloon animals to thousands of homemade cookies from local bakeries and volunteers, this event has something for everyone.

Easter Seals Midwest will host puzzle drives with the Puzzle Warehouse. The puzzles will be gifted to children on the autism spectrum. All children will also be given a printed photo with Santa.

The event is free, but advance reservations are required and can be made by calling Cassidy Mengel at 573-874-3777.
