Bowling Green’s Chamber of Commerce gathered for their regular monthly meeting last Wednesday. Among items discussed was that of the Hope Center’s shortage and recent concert.

The group heard from City Administrator Dan Lang, who mentioned the addition of a sales tax proposition on upcoming ballots.

During discussion of membership, it was noted that Country View Nursing Home may have interest in joining.

It was mentioned that seven people had signed up for the Chamber’s Lighting Contest, which was judged this Monday and Tuesday.

Moving on, members added that the cancelled Gene Watson concert was to be rescheduled for Saturday, April 12, at 8 p.m.

There were no suggestions or concerns for the Chamber banquet, which will be held in February.

Tiffany Coleman-Dade gave a presentation on the Pike County Memorial Hospital’s ACA assistance program.

Towards the end of the meeting, a motion was made and approved to donate $500 to the Hope Center following news of their financial struggles and lack of donations.

With no other discussion, the meeting was adjourned.
