The Lady Cats suffered a disappointing loss in the MRMC Holiday Shootout tournament Dec. 28 as they battled the California Lady Pintos. The contest concluded with a final score of 51-43.
“We played well in spurts throughout the game,” said head coach Bryan Keim. “We are still struggling to find ourselves offensively.”
Patricia Rosenburg and Kylie Conrow led the Lady Cats in points, each scoring 10.
Bowling Green’s girls sank nearly 56 percent of their free throws, but battled on the other end of the foul.
“We still need to stay out of foul trouble,” Keim explained. “We have a great bench, but we are having to overuse them because our starters continue to get in foul trouble.”
The Lady Cats grabbed a total of 24 rebounds during the game.
“We are continuing to work hard in practice to keep taking steps in the right direction,” the coach added. “I’m excited for what the end product will be when its all said and done.”
The Lady Cats next game is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 9 against Centralia at Bowling Green, 5:30 p.m. tip off.
