PCMH to host Historical Society, have dialysis unit tour

The history of Pike County Memorial Hospital will be presented by local historian Betty Allen at the the next meeting of the Pike County Historical Society on Tuesday, Jan. 14, which will be held at the hospital.

A roast beef dinner will be served in the cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. with the program to follow. The cafeteria will be open at 5:30 p.m. The cost of the meal is $10.

Members and guests are invited for a tour of the dialysis unit beginning at 6 p.m. and led by Debbie Smith. Those attending should park in the front parking lot, enter through the main entrance and take the elevator to the second floor for the tour or turn right for the cafeteria.

The hospital is vital to Pike County residents and has a very unique story leading to its establishment. Guests are always welcome to the society’s meetings.

Reservations for dinner are required by Jan. 10 and may be made by calling Linda Harmon in Clarksville at 242-3788, Georgia Gamm in Bowling Green at 324-2753 and Mary Littrell at 754-4078 in Louisiana.
