A Bowling Green man has been charged with felony second degree assault after he allegedly hit a neighbor in the face with a liquor bottle last week.
David H. Jennings, 33, was charged following an incident that occurred Jan. 12 at a home on South 16th Street.
The case’s probable cause statement details that the victim claims Jennings hit him with a whiskey bottle after getting mad. The report says Jennings told authorities he hit the victim because the man came to the residence to sell drugs.
A counsel status hearing was scheduled for today (Jan. 22) following the defendant’s claim of indigency and application for a public defender at his Jan. 15 arraignment.
