Local man faces assault charge following altercation
A Feb. 26 evidence hearing is slated for a Bowling Green man accused of hitting a neighbor in the face with a liquor bottle.
David Jennings, 33, has been charged with felony second-degree assault following an incident that happened on Jan. 12 on South 16th Street in Bowling Green.
In a probable cause statement filed by the Bowling Green Police Department, the victim claims Jennings hit him with a whiskey bottle after getting mad.
The report continues, says Jennings told authorities he hit the victim because he believed the man came to the residence to sell narcotics.
Online reports indicate Jennings has a history of criminal activity.
