Board of Aldermen holds special session
The Board of Aldermen held a special session meeting Monday night, following the General Committee meeting at City Hall.
Bowling Green Mayor Jim Moore called the meeting to order at 6:26 p.m. Roll call was taken, noting all alderperson but Kenda Flynn were present.
The board voted unanimously to approve a bill allowing the city to enter into a lease agreement for the municipal swimming pool and appurtenances with the Twin Pike Family YMCA.
It was noted in the prior session with the General Committee that staying with the YMCA as operators would save the city around $5,000 versus what was bid by another entity.
Under Mayor’s appointments, the Board approved by a majority vote to appoint Adam Mitalovich to BGFD Chief. He was sworn in following adjournment at 6:30 p.m.
