Women injured in Highway 61 accident
A Bowling Green man was unscathed in a Sunday morning wreck on Highway 61 that sent two Tennessee women to the hospital.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, around 7:55 a.m. the morning of Sunday, March 2, a southbound 2006 GMC G3500 driven by Deana Walker, 26, of Murfreesboro, Tenn. travelled of the east side of the highway and crossed the median.
Once through the median, the vehicle travelled into the northbound lane and struck the left rear side of a 2002 International 4900 being driven by 22-year-old Ben Klott, of Curryville.
Sustaining moderate injuries were Walker and a passenger, 42-year-old Jeaneen Hills. Both women were taken to Hannibal Regional by Pike County ambulance. They were both wearing seatbelts.
The accident occured .1 miles south of Route RA on Highway 61.
