BGHS sets summer dead period

Bowling Green High School recently finalized their mandatory MSHSAA summer time dead period for the summer of 2014.

BGHS has set their summer time dead period for July 26 through Aug. 3.

One component of the summer time dead period by-law is that all Bowling Green R-1 athletic facilities will be shut down during this time.  This would include the baseball and softball complex, practice football field, weight room, and all basketball gyms.  Coaches will not be allowed to schedule open gyms, passing leagues, basketball shoot outs, contact days, etc.

The summer time dead period will be an excellent time for families to plan vacations or for student athletes to find time to relax.  Bowling Green High School will officially start fall practice on Aug. 4.
