Election filings closed – Write-ins close Friday
Regular filings for the Aug. 5 election were closed Tuesday, March 25. For those hoping to file as write-ins, the last day to do so is Friday, March 28.
In Pike County, the offices of clerk, presiding commissioner, treasurer, collector, recorder, prosecuting attorney, and associate circuit judge are all up for election this year.
The offices have different candidate requirements; people who are interested in the positions should check with the county clerk’s office on guidelines.
The filing period ends March 25. The primary election will be Aug. 5, with the general election following on Nov. 4.
