Times sets goals for city-wide yard sale
The Bowling Green Times is happy to announce we are taking over the Bowling Green city-wide yard sale. The annual event will be held on June 7 in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce’s Park Day.
In years past, the two affairs have been disjointed, simply occurring on the same day. The Times wants to fix this.
It is our goal this year to produce an occasion that seamlessly combines both the city-wide yard sale and Park Day, making one large, family-friendly event to appeal to a wider audience, thus drawing in a larger crowd to benefit Bowling Green as a whole.
We hope that you, too, see our vision, agree with our goal for these activities, and want to participate. Consider sidewalk sales, booths, concessions, and the like – such additions to the day would be of great advantage to other participants and visitors.
Last year, the Chamber’s first annual Park Day featured attractions like face painting, carnival rides, BBQ, the Trailerman train, and a city-sponsored movie in the park that evening. This year’s should include this and more.
Sale participants will be posted on an online map and receive sale signage.
