FBLA attends state conference – BG chapter gets top honors

Members of the Bowling Green High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter recently attended the 2014 Missouri FBLA Leadership Conference held on April 13, 14, and 15 in Columbia.

FBLA is a career and technical student 4,000 members and advisers representing 452 chapters throughout the state met to elect state officers, transact business of the state chapter, participate in leadership and career workshops, and compete in the state leadership awards program.

Students competed against the top 60 students in their category from across the state of Missouri.  Earning top honors were:  Gaby Farabee, ninth place in Business Commun-ications; Shelby Grummel and Taylor Edmond, ninth place in Public Service Announcement.

In addition to the awards, the chapter was honored for their participation in state events—Reach Out and Care Project, Show-Me Growth, Leadership and Education Projects.
