Three people were injured in two separate early morning crashes on Sunday, Aug. 10 in Pike County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP).

Magdelyn J. Schmidt, 19, of Vandalia, suffered moderate injuries on Hwy. 54 just one mile east of Hwy. 154 and west of Curryville, a MSHP crash report stated.

According to the accident report, Schmidt was westbound at 5:30 a.m. when her 2002 Saturn SL2 went off the right side of road, struck an embankment and overturned.

Schmidt was taken to Audrain Medical Center in Mexico by a private vehicle for treatment.
