FFA hosts annual plant sale
The Bowling Green FFA held their annual plant sale last Thursday and Friday. Advisor Jason Davis (pictured) reported that sales were slightly down this year from last. “We still have a lot of flowers and some vegetables left. We will continue to sell during the day until the greenhouse is empty,” Davis said. Davis explained that the money raised will go towards maintenance and improvements to the greenhouse, and expanding concrete for a better composting pile. “Joyce Fisher and I are trying to put together plans for a community garden. I would like to add a couple of smaller greenhouses to be able to have classes experiment with different propagating methods. There is a wish list, but the money will always go towards something that will help students learn to be positive community members,” he added.
