Children playing in streets raise concerns

Possibly one of the better indicators of how small a town is remains the visibility of children playing in its streets.

However, therein lies a darker reality behind this eutopian Mayberry staple of summertime.

At Monday night’s general committee meeting of the Bowling Green city council, 16th Street resident Tony Windmiller said an officer of the city police recently approached his young children playing basketball in the street and informed them that they had to move their basketball goal.
