Baseball now Class 3 District 7

As fall sports start to wind down, the athletic department at Bowling Green High School is already thinking of spring – particularly of baseball.

It was announced last week that the Bobcats will now be in Class 3, District 7 for baseball, which includes:  Brookfield High School, Clark County High School, Highland High School, Macon High School, Mark Twain High School, Monroe City High School, and Palmyra High School.

Bowling Green has been Class 3 for baseball in the past.  The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) added a class in baseball this year and it will most likely affect the districts in baseball, Bowling Green athletic director Matt Chance said.

Michael Jennings will be the head coach again this spring with Dean Streed as the assistant coach.

Winter sports start Oct. 29.
