Park improvements expected
Bowling Green’s city administrator Dan Lang has been investing some time obtaining cost estimates for various improvements for the city’s parks.
These improvements recommended by the park board advisory committee notably included purchasing a new vehicle specially for park patrol use.
These recommendations were placed into the Park Fund budget for consideration by the Board of Aldermen. It is expected that a joint work session will be held sometime in October between the Park Board advisory committee and the Board of Aldermen to discuss the various park improvements.
Lang said that he ordered the new playground equipment Tuesday for the 15th Street Park. Alliance crews will do the work of installing the new equipment, which Lang would like to see completed before winter.
