The Kroger stores in Louisiana and Hannibal will be closed effective Saturday, Oct. 27, according to an announcement this morning from Division President Bob Moeder.
The closure means Louisiana will not have a major grocery store.
A firm spokesman said earlier this year that the store in Louisiana was underperforming and could close in the future if things did not get better.
Some of the Louisiana store’s 52 employees will have the right to transfer to Kroger’s facility in Troy, the announcement said.
