Brett Daffron reads a poem to attendees at the SHARE Walk to Remember in Creve Coeur Park. The National Share Walk for Remembrance & Hope is an annual event to remember the lives of babies that were lost during pregnancy, stillbirth or the first months of life. The walk provides a ceremony of hope, giving those lost a chance to be recognized while all of their names are read. Daffron’s poem honored his brother and sister, Brendon and Ellie Daffron, that were born still in 2001 and 2009. It was also written to give hope to families that have suffered the loss of a child. More than 2,500 people took part in the event.
