Cross country dominates at districts
Bowling Green High School’s cross country team was at the top of the leader-board for districts, which were held this past Saturday at the fair grounds. Several other local teams ran in the race, but the Bobcats were the highlight.
The boy’s team placed first in the race, making this their eleventh straight district championship.
“The boys have had several teams pushing them all year. They have dealt with a lot of adversity this year and to win the district meet by over 20 points shows a lot about this team,” explained athletic director and head cross country coach Matt Chance. “This group of guys haven’t all ran their best on the same day. We will try to end the season with our best race and try to improve on our eighth place finish from last year.”
