Man killed in one vehicle wreck on CR 108

Jerry D. Lemons, 58, of Center, was found deceased at the scene of a one-vehicle wreck Friday afternoon.

It was believed by officers at the scene that Lemons died due to an existing medical problem shortly before his truck was wrecked.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol web site, Lemons was travelling westbound on Pike County Road 108 when his 2001 Dodge Ram travelled off the right side of the road, was returned to the roadway and then travelled off the left side.

The truck struck a tree and travelled into the creek when it struck a second tree and hit the embankment.

His vehicle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene by McKinney towing.

The victim was pronounced dead by Sheriff Korte at 3:46 p.m.
