Pike County fuels win for new judge after eight-vote Lincoln Co. victory
Pike County helped make Chris Kunza Mennemeyer the new 45th presiding circuit judge in the Nov. 6 general election, after she won a slight plurality in her home Lincoln County.
In Lincoln County, Kunza Mennemeyer had 11,090 votes to Associate Judge Ben Burkemper’s 11,082, a tiny, eight-vote win.
With votes added on from Pike County, which is also in the judicial district, Kunza Mennemeyer beat Burkemper overall 14,800 to 14,568. She outpolled Burkemper by 224 votes in Pike County, 3,710 to 3,486 to put her over the top overall by just less than two percent.
