Jeff Kaufman, a Bowling Green Police Department detective, spent three days in Omaha, Neb. for certification in a special forensic training entitled “Basic Forensic Response to Missing and Abducted Children.”
His trip was paid for in full with sponsorships from the Department of Justice and National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
“Without the funding, we couldn’t have sent him,” explained chief of police Don Wickenhauser.
