St. Clement competes in speech contest

Eight students from St. Clement School competed in a speech contest held at Holy Rosary School in Monroe City on Nov. 2.

Students from Catholic schools in the Diocese of Jefferson City compete in three or four speech meets held at various locations in the diocese every school year.

Students who competed for St. Clement School were:  Camille Akers, Austin Irvin, Ethan Irvin, Brett Irvin, Josh Korte, Stephen Merz, Avery Mudd, and Matthew Nosbush. The students earned seven blue ribbons and one red ribbon in the competition.

The next competition will be January 11, 2013, in Moberly.
