On Dec. 5 the Community Unit School District #4 Board of Education announced that Brian Kurz has been selected as the next superintendent of the Unit 4 District. Mr. Kurz will officially begin his duties as superintendent of Unit 4 in Mendon, Ill., on July 1, 2013, but will spend some time over the next several months working with the board, administration, and staff to ensure a smooth transition. Kurz and the board agreed to a three year contract.
