The Pike County Prolife Family Network will hold their annual prolife vigil on Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. in the Pike County Courthouse.
The prayer vigil coincides with the actual date that the infamous Roe vs. Wade decision occurred on 40 years ago. This decision legalized abortion in the USA. Since 1973, the approximately 54 million babies have lost their lives to abortion.
The vigil will consist of prayer, music, and a prolife message. The main presenter for the evening will be Pastor John Birkhead from the Immanuel Baptist Church of Bowling Green. Also included in the program is the presentation of awards for those students who participated in the recent coloring and essay contest sponsored by the prolife group.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend. There will be refreshments and fellowship following the vigil which will last approximately one hour.
