Church of the Nazarene to host send-off for Branstetter
Bowling Green’s Church of the Nazarene has released plans for a celebration service and dinner for their Associate/Youth Pastor Cole Branstetter and his wife, Rachelle.
The church event will take place on Sunday, Jan. 27, with a morning worship service and a dinner to follow in the fellowship hall.
Branstetter came to the Bowling Green Church of the Nazarene in June of 2010 after completing his degree from Mid-America Nazarene University. He accepted the position as Associate Pastor with youth emphasis and continued his ministry until Nov. 25 of this past year.
While at the church these past two and a half years, Branstetter has led the youth group, taught Sunday school, developed youth disciple groups, filled pulpit duties in the absence of the Senior Pastor, and countless other responsibilities that helped the church’s mission of “Live, Love and Lead.”
During the spring of last year, the Branstetters believed God began to place a new desire in their hearts. After much prayer and discernment, they have answered a call to develop a church in Wentzville.
The Nazarene Church feels as though they were blessed and that the Branstetters acted as a vital part of their church. “They have not only been a blessing to our church but to the community as they have helped with many outreach community events. They will both be missed greatly,” said church-goers.
