Pike County fair board announces concerts

The Pike County Fair Board officials confirmed the announcement of the 2013 main stage concerts earlier this week. This year’s fair will run July 23 through 27 and will feature artists Daryle Singletary and John Michael Montgomery on the main stage Saturday night.

According to his website, Daryle Singletary is a “hardcore country traditionalist,” and “has built a career based on musical integrity.” Singletary is known for his songs “Going Through Hell,” “Too Much Fun,” and “I Let Her Lie.”

John Michael Montgomery is a musical talent that has been celebrated for hits like “How Was I To Know,” “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident),” and “I Swear.” According to his official website, Montgomery has “a connection that goes beyond his undeniable talent and his proven knack for picking hits.”

Both singers were born and raised in Danville, Ky. They have booked several events already for the 2013 season, and are preparing to hit the road.
