Jackie “Jack” D. Hogue, age 73, of rural Vandalia, passed away at 12:31 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Mo.
No visitation or services are scheduled at this time.
Interment of his cremains will take place at a later date.
He was born on April 24, 1939 in Farber, Mo. the son of Perry and Opal (Burkhart) Hogue.
He married Nina Darlene Jennings in Vandalia on December 6, 1958.
Jackie “Jack” D. Hogue was a lifelong Farber and rural Vandalia area resident.
Jack worked at Ennis Implement Company for several years before starting at NARCO Refractories in Farber. He retired when the plant closed in 2000 after over 30 years of service.
Jack worked in many of the departments at NARCO, primarily skidding brick and as a fork lift operator.
He was an avid coon hunter and member of the Spencer Creek Coon Hunters Club. Jack also enjoyed water racing and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene of rural Vandalia; two sons, Dwayne and wife, Vernea Hogue of Laddonia; Dale and wife, Johnna Hogue of Frankford; one daughter, Diana Hogue of St. Louis; one sister, Claudine Hearn of Curryville; three grandchildren, Aleecia D. and husband, Mike Dillon of Eolia; Tristen N. and husband, Donnie Campbell of Laddonia; Thomas A. Hogue of Laddonia; four grandsons, Drake and Malaki Campbell; Joey and Austin Dillon.
